    Miłośników opery z pewnością zainteresuje miejsce urodzenia słynnego lukkańskiego kompozytora, Giacomo Pucciniego (1858-1924). Ten mistrz XX-wiecznej opery został ochrzczony w miejscowym kościele, Santi Giovanni e Reparata. Jest on nierozerwalnie związany ze swoją ojczyzną, Lukką, a kiedyś nawet zagrał na organach w jej Katedrze. Dom, w którym urodził się Puccini, odrestaurowany Casa Museo Puccini, to dobre miejsce na początek wycieczki śladami tego kompozytora. Tam właśnie spędził on swoje szczęśliwe dzieciństwo i wczesną dorosłość. Sam dom pozostał w rękach rodziny Puccinich aż do przekazania go pod opiekę Fundacji Pucciniego w 1974 roku. Pokój muzyczny z pianinem Steinway, na którym Puccini skomponował Turandot, stanowił centrum jego świata. Aby dopełnić tę wycieczkę jego śladami, udaj się na zachód do Torre del Lago, na brzegu jeziora Massaciuccoli, o którym wspominaliśmy w przewodniku po Viareggio. Samo Viareggio również jest warte uwagi, podobnie jak Montecatini Terme, kolejne miejsce związane z Puccinim.

During your hands-on cooking lesson, Patrizia will teach you traditional Italian dishes from Florence and Italy’s Emilia Romagna Region. You will prepare an appetizer, a first course, typically a fresh pasta like tagliatelle, ravioli, or gnocchi, a second course of meat and dessert.
